Mohamed Sharil joins Pos Malaysia board

PETALING JAYA: Pos Malaysia Bhd has named Datuk Mohamed Sharil Mohamed Tarmizi (pic) as its independent non-executive director effective April 13,2021.

Mohamad Sharil was previously the chairman and chief executive of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), an independent regulatory body set up by a Malaysian Act of Parliament to develop, oversee and regulate the communications and multimedia sector in Malaysia.

MCMC is also the regulator for the postal and courier industry pursuant to the Postal Services Act 2012.

In a statement, Pos Malaysia said Mohamed Sharil’s extensive background and immense experience in the corporate and regulatory sectors as well as legal and finance would bring a diverse range of disciplines to its board.
